IT'S A GIRL!!!!

The Morris family is happy to announce the arrival of Marlie Rae Morris

After 7 hours of labor she was born on Thursday December 13th at 11:46 p.m.
She weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.
We came home on Saturday and we all have been enjoying having Marlie in our family. She is a very good baby! She only cries when she gets her diaper changed. She has Jaundice so she has been having to spend a lot of time underneath lights that we had to bring home from the hospital. We are hoping by Thursday we can keep her out of them for good!
Her sisters and brother are very big helpers and love to hold her when they get the chance. Marlie is very fun to cuddle with! We all feel so blessed to have this special spirit in our lives!!!! She is the best Christmas present that we could have asked for!

Deck the Halls

We have been trying to decorate and get ready for the Holidays for the last couple of weeks. I have not had much motivation to do it with all of the other messes I have been in the middle of trying to get ready for the baby's arrival. I was so suprised when I came upstairs after doing some hair in my salon to find that Dave had put up the tree as well as put all of the lights on it. He had also put up the Garland and lights on the inside railings as well. It made decorating the tree a lot easier and fun on me. I am so glad that Dave loves Christmas and is so willing to help out with the decorating!!
The girls helped out by putting some decorations on the tree and Mason has been getting into the Christmas spirit as well. He had fun helping Grandpa put up the lights on the house, and helped his dad put up the new Santa Clause we got for the yard.
Here is a picture of the house last night with a fresh blanket of snow that we got yesterday.

Family Celebrations

Last weekend the girls got to go to Grandma Sherie's for a fun Christmas party. It was for kids only 8 years and up (they let Maddi join them.) I asked her if she needed help, she said "There is only going to be 15 of them." I guess for her that is nothing. ( She is used to feeding about 50 at a time.) They ate a lunch with the choice of pizza, hamburgers, and chicken cordon blue. Then they had candy to dip in chocolate or fondue as they call it. Then they had an auction where they got to bid on lots of fun things. Everyone had a great time.
Next weekend she is having a party for the kids 3 to 7 years old. That should be fun!!!! Thank you Grandma Sherie!!!

The next night we went to Dave's family party at his dad's house in Ogden. The girls are always so excited to spend time with their cousin Sierra and Aunt Kenzie.
Then there is the 3 boys Garrett, Mason and Easton. It works out great! Everyone has someone to play with. After we had dinner Grandma Stacie was brave enough to help the 6 oldest grandkids make Gingerbread houses. They were messy, but they sure had fun!!
It is always nice to get together with the ones we love and make new memories. Too bad life is so busy that we don't do it more often!

Thanksgiving

As usual my mom made an awesome Thanksgiving feast for the family. We missed having Marlon at home, but we see him for Christmas.( Tim was there, he is just behind the camera.)

It is always nice to spend time with family, especially at Thanksgiving when we are remembering what we are most greatful for! We are so excited that Cam and Mary are having a baby! It was also great to see Addison and play with her! It is crazy to think that next Thanksgiving we will have two more babies! I love my family so much and I am blessed to be a part of it!!!
My mom and I decided to join all of the other crazy people who do the day after Thanksgiving shopping. It wasn't too bad. We just went to ons store. We left home at 4:30 and we were back by 6:15. We got the few deals that we were looking for, so we will probably attempt it again next year.

Mason was so proud of the Indian feather hat that he made at pre-school.McKayla and Madison both participated in their schools "Turkey Trot" They both did so good! McKayla ran a mile and Maddi ran a 1/2 mile. Madison placed first for the girls in the 1st grade! It was a nice break to have the kids off of school for a few days, but it was also good to send them back this week! My mom and I took the kids to see the new movie Enchanted it is so cute, I would recomend it to all!!!

Busy times!!!

I haven't made a post for a long time! We are still around and we have all been very busy! Here are some of the things that we have been up too. Well, Dave worked the first half of November so the kids and I tried not to get out of the house every once in a while so we didn't go crazy!! My friend Natalie took me to her Grandmas back yard and I snapped a few pictures of the kids in the leaves. I thought they turned out cute!

Before the baby arrives I have had a huge "Honey do" list for Dave! The first thing on the list was to replace the dirty and worn carpet in our upstairs hallway with new laminate flooring. The first day that he had off he got to work tearing out the old and with some help from my brother in law Cam the two of them had it done! I love it, it looks great! The next thing on my list was to move all of the kids bedrooms around. We moved the girls from upstairs to the basement, then Mason into their old room, and then made Masons room into the nursery for the baby. It has taken a few days, and it is not all completed yet. Everyday I try to tackle something else, like cleaning out the closet, or underneath the beds, or moving and cleaning out their drawers. It will be so nice when I just get it all done! I will take pictures of their rooms when they are all done and clean! Hopefully I will get it done before the baby gets here!
In November we also had some sad times. With the new baby coming and our house being very full we were wondering if we still had the room for our 105 lb. French Mastif Sophie. We loved her a lot, but she is a full time job! We don't have a fence, and she was having to spend more time outside than she liked. We found a nice man who fell in love with her and wanted to give her a nice home with a fenced in yard. It was an emotional day for eveyone when she left, but we hear that she is happy and adjusting well.

We had other sad news when we heard that Dave's Grandpa Howell passed away. He had been ill for many months, so we are glad that he is no longer suffering! It is always hard to say good bye to people that we love, but we know that we will see him again!

Happy Halloween

Last night was the trunk-r-treat at the church. At the last minute I decided that I would show a little Halloween spirit and dress up. I knew I had limited options with me being very pregnant. Dave has recently purchased some new and very unusual hunting attire. I went into the basement and tried it on and it was perfect, it also kept me very warm! Mason said I looked like a tree. I don't know exactly what I was, but it worked! It was so nice to be trick or treating in the light, and the weather was quite pleasant. We missed Dave while he was working, but we know he is working hard for his growing family! (he is working the next 14 days, and has worked the last 6!)
Here is McKayla dressed up in her witch costume. She couldn't decide if she wanted to be a good witch or a mean witch. She had a fun night except she burnt her tongue on the HOT chocolate!
Here is Madison in her "little devil" costume. I think she looks more like an angel in this picture.

Last but not least is our super hero! Mason dressed in his favorite red Power Ranger costume.

Check out my Slide Show!

Fall is in the air

This weekend we got together with Dave's family. (The Goring/Hammons gang.) The whole family was in town so we attempted to get a updated family picture. That is a huge undertaking!! There were 28 adults and over 50 grandkids. (20 of them are 4 and under!) Thanks to photo shop I think we will be able to have one picture with most everyone looking at the camera. While we were there I snapped a few pictures of the kids. I even had someone take one with me in it. One day when I am not pregnant I might appreciate it more.

Say Cheese!!!
After the pictures were done all of the kids changed into their Halloween costumes and we had a trunk-r-treat!

My Power Ranger, witch and little devil take time to pose for a picture.

Happy Birthday Mason

On October 15th our little Mason celebrated his 4th Birthday. It is so hard to believe he is getting so big! He is such a joy in all of our lives. He keeps me on my toes and keeps us laughing all the time!!
Here is Mason showing how excited he is to open up all of his presents.

Mason got the Lightnig McQueen cake that he has been asking me to get him for the past 4 months. McKayla, Madison, and Lincoln helped Mason blow out his candles.

Mason was very happy with all of the nice presents that he got. He loves his new clothes, trucks, Power Rangers , and Power Ranger costume.

The weekend before his birthday my family came over and we celebrated all of the October birthdays. Mary, Cam, Mason, Nancy, and Addie all share October birthdays.

Our Yellowstone trip

In September we went on a weekend vacation to Yellowstone. We stopped at Bear World on the way there and saw the Bears. The kids also loved petting the animals at the petting zoo. We drove into Yellowstone park and saw many Elk and Bison. The Geysers were very stinky!!!! We also went to Big Springs and fed the fish in the River. We enjoyed playing games with our friends, riding four wheelers and relaxing in the hot tub. The weather was rainy, but the fall leaves were so beautiful. We had a great time!!!
